Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Free2Live Tech Solutions Private Limited (“I’M SAFE”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile app, physical safety products and related support.

Please read it together with our Terms & Conditions.

Last updated: 17 July 2026

1. About this Privacy Policy

This Policy applies to your use of www.imsafe.app, the I’M SAFE mobile app, our checkout and orders, customer support, bulk-order enquiries, Free Safety Guide requests, our optional Bluetooth SOS Tags, and cookies and analytics used on our website.

Personal Alarms are standalone audible devices; they do not themselves transmit any data to the app or to us. Where you purchase a Personal Alarm from us, order-related information (name, address, contact and payment) is still covered by this Policy.

2. Who we are

For India, the data controller is Free2Live Tech Solutions Private Limited, with registered office at No. 11/6, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Alandur, Chennai - 600016, Tamil Nadu, India.

Where Australia-specific operations or sales are expressly identified, the relevant local entity may be I’M SAFE Australia Pty Ltd.

You can reach us at support@imsafe.app for privacy and data requests, and info@imsafe.app for grievance or general contact.

3. Information we collect

Account and profile

  • Name, email address, and phone number where you provide or use one.
  • Account identifiers and profile details you add.
  • Authentication information supplied through the sign-in methods currently made available in the app.

Bubble and trusted contacts

  • Bubble membership and settings you create or join.
  • Trusted-contact details you choose to add and the invitations you send.
  • Relationship or user-defined labels you assign to contacts.
  • Activity required to operate Bubble and trusted-contact features.

Communications and support

When you contact us or fill in a form, we receive the information you provide, including message contents, order or product references and any attachments.

Technical information

When you use the website or app we automatically receive technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referrer, pages viewed, session and interaction data, cookie or advertising identifiers (subject to your consent), and error, security and performance logs. This information is not fully anonymous - some of it can identify a device or, in combination, a person.

4. App, location and safety-event data

We collect location and safety-event data only when you activate a feature that needs it and you grant the relevant permission. This can include:

  • Your location when you use SOS, active location sharing or a feature that depends on location.
  • SOS activation details, including trigger source, time and technical status of the alert.
  • Information about how alerts and updates were delivered to your selected trusted contacts.
  • Travel or presence updates for functions such as Bubble that you have enabled.

We do not continuously track every user by default. Location and presence sharing are user-initiated or governed by your app settings, and can be paused or disabled through the app or your device permissions.

5. Device and Bluetooth data

When you pair an optional I’M SAFE SOS Tag, the app may receive:

  • The paired Tag identifier and pairing status.
  • Bluetooth connection status while the Tag is in range.
  • Device model or compatibility information from your phone.
  • Battery or device-status information where the app actually receives it.
  • Button-trigger events used to activate an in-app action.

SOS Tags require a nearby compatible phone and Bluetooth to function. They are not independent GPS trackers and do not have their own cellular connection. Personal Alarms are standalone audible devices and do not transmit location or app data.

6. Website, shopping and order data

  • Cart and shopping activity, including products and variants you select.
  • Order contact and delivery details you provide at checkout.
  • Order status, dispatch and delivery updates.
  • Transaction reference, payment status, and tax or invoice details required by law.
  • Support, return and warranty requests you submit.

Full card, banking or UPI credentials are handled by our checkout and payment providers and are not stored by I’M SAFE. We typically receive only the information needed to confirm and service your order (for example, a transaction reference, payment status and the last few digits of a card where the provider returns them).

7. Forms, support and communications

  • Bulk-order enquiries: organisation, quantity and contact information.
  • Free Safety Guide requests: the name and email you provide, plus your optional marketing preference collected separately on that form.
  • Contact-page messages and any support correspondence.
  • Records of communications you send us and our responses.

8. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary technology may operate without your optional consent where it is required for the site to work.

Optional categories are controlled by your consent choice:

  • Analytics technology activates only after you accept the analytics category. We currently use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity in this category.
  • Marketing and advertising technology activates only after you accept the marketing category. We currently use Google Ads measurement and, where applicable, the Meta Pixel in this category.

You can accept, reject or manage optional categories through the cookie or ads settings surfaced on the website, and you can change your choice at any time. Continuing to browse the site does not by itself constitute consent to optional categories.

These providers may process online identifiers and usage information according to their own terms and privacy notices.

9. How we use information

  • Creating and securing your account and sign-in.
  • Providing Bubble, SOS, location-sharing and trusted-contact functions.

  • Processing your orders, payments, delivery and invoices.
  • Providing warranty, returns and customer support.

  • Operating, maintaining, securing and troubleshooting the service.
  • Detecting, preventing and addressing abuse, fraud and misuse.
  • Understanding website performance, subject to your cookie choices.
  • Meeting legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.
  • Enforcing our Terms and protecting users and the Company.

10. When we share information

We share information only as reasonably required, with:

  • Trusted contacts you have selected, through user-directed features and configured alerts.
  • Ecommerce and checkout providers used to run our store.
  • Payment providers made available at checkout.
  • Delivery, logistics and courier partners fulfilling your orders.
  • Cloud hosting, database and storage providers.
  • Email, messaging and push-notification providers.
  • Analytics and advertising providers, only where your consent allows.
  • Customer-support and security tooling providers.
  • Professional advisers such as auditors, lawyers or accountants where reasonably needed.
  • Government, regulatory or law-enforcement authorities where required by applicable law or valid legal process.
  • A successor entity in a lawful merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to appropriate confidentiality and protection.

We do not sell your personal data. Trusted contacts receive information only through user-directed functions or the alerts you configure. Our service providers process information for the specific services we engage them for and are expected to protect it.

11. Trusted contacts and user-directed sharing

Some features let you share information directly with people you choose - for example inviting a trusted contact, adding someone to your Bubble, or sending an SOS or location update to specific recipients. When you use these features you control who receives the information and what they see. It is your responsibility to have any consent you need before adding another person’s contact details or sharing their information.

12. International processing and service providers

I’M SAFE and its service providers may process information in India and in other countries where the relevant service provider operates. Data-protection standards may differ by location. Where required, we use measures intended to protect personal data and to comply with applicable restrictions on cross-border processing.

13. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for:

  • Providing the service and maintaining accounts.
  • Safety-event and support records.
  • Completing and supporting orders.
  • Warranty, return and after-sales handling.
  • Meeting legal, tax and accounting requirements.
  • Fraud prevention and service security.
  • Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

After the applicable period, information may be deleted or de-identified unless continued retention is legally required.

14. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the service to help protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet or mobile service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will handle it in line with applicable law.

15. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you can ask us to:

  • Provide information about how we process your personal data.
  • Access a copy of your personal data where available or legally required.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your account or personal data.
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave, including for marketing or optional cookies.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time through the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
  • Raise a grievance and have it handled by our grievance contact.

To make a request, email support@imsafe.app (privacy and data requests) or info@imsafe.app (grievance).

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal and may prevent some features from working. We may need to retain certain information to complete existing orders, honour warranty obligations, meet legal or tax requirements or protect the security of our service.

We handle personal information in line with applicable Indian privacy and information-technology laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules, to the extent in force and applicable from time to time. Users in some jurisdictions may have additional rights under other data-protection laws that apply to them.

16. Children and guardian supervision

The service is not intended for unsupervised use by children where guardian consent is legally required. Parents and legal guardians must supervise a child’s use of the app and any addition of a child to a Bubble, trusted-contact arrangement or connected device. Where required by law, we may take steps to verify guardian authority. If personal data relating to a child was provided without proper authority, the guardian may contact us at support@imsafe.app and we will take appropriate action.

App permissions (device settings)

The permissions the app requests depend on your platform, device, app version and the specific feature you use. Common examples include:

  • Location, for SOS, location sharing and features that depend on where you are.
  • Notifications, so alerts and updates can reach you and your trusted contacts.
  • Bluetooth or nearby-device access, to pair and use an optional SOS Tag.
  • Microphone, only for a user-activated recording or communication feature where available.
  • Background activity, where required to keep an enabled safety function working.

You can review and change permissions at any time in your device settings. Disabling a required permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working.

18. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, providers or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
