Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the I’M SAFE website, the I’M SAFE mobile app, our physical products, related content and customer support. By using any part of the service or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the website, app or products.

1. About these Terms

These Terms apply to everyone who visits our website, installs or uses the I’M SAFE app, purchases our products, or interacts with our support and content. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping, Returns & Refunds, Warranty and Disclaimer policies published on this website.

2. Who operates I'M SAFE

The I’M SAFE website, app and India operations are owned and operated by M/s. Free2Live Tech Solutions Private Limited, with registered office at No. 11/6, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Alandur, Chennai - 600016, Tamil Nadu, India. (referred to in these Terms as “Company”, “I’M SAFE”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Where Australia-specific operations or sales are expressly identified, the relevant local entity may be I’M SAFE Australia Pty Ltd. Purchases made through this Indian website are contracted with M/s. Free2Live Tech Solutions Private Limited.

3. Services covered

These Terms cover:

  • The I'M SAFE website and its content.
  • The free I'M SAFE mobile app and its safety features, including Bubble and trusted-contact updates, user-initiated location sharing, SOS alerts, Ask for Help, Fake Call, Anonymous Recording (where available) and helpline information.
  • The optional I'M SAFE physical products currently offered on this website: Alarm Classic, Alarm Metal, Tag Classic, Tag Pro, Starter Safety Kit, Family Safety Kit and Ultimate Safety Kit.
  • Ecommerce orders, checkout, shipping and post-sale support.
  • Free guides, safety content and informational resources published by I'M SAFE.

Features, content and products may be added, changed or withdrawn from time to time as described in section 17.

4. Eligibility and use by minors

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law to create an I’M SAFE account or place an order. If you are a minor, a parent or legal guardian must supervise your use of the app and any physical product, and is responsible for that use to the extent required by applicable law.

You confirm that any information you provide about yourself, including contact details for trusted contacts, is accurate and that you have the necessary consent to add those contacts.

5. Accounts and sign-in

You may create or access an I’M SAFE account using the sign-in methods currently made available in the app. Available sign-in methods may change over time; we do not promise that any particular sign-in method will always remain available.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that takes place under your account. Please keep your profile and trusted-contact details accurate and up to date, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

6. App features and permissions

Safety features may require you to grant certain device permissions - for example location, notifications, Bluetooth and microphone - depending on the feature and your device. The exact permissions requested depend on your operating system, device, app version and the features you use.

You can review and change permissions at any time in your device settings. If you disable or deny a required permission, the corresponding feature may not work correctly or at all.

Location sharing, SOS alerts, Ask for Help, Fake Call, Anonymous Recording (where available) and Bubble are activated by the user or by the user’s trusted-contact setup, and are not a continuous surveillance service.

7. SOS Tags, Personal Alarms and Safety Kits

SOS Tags (Tag Classic, Tag Pro)

SOS Tags are optional Bluetooth accessories that trigger supported actions in the I’M SAFE app on a compatible nearby phone. They require the I’M SAFE app, an active Bluetooth connection to your phone and the relevant device permissions. SOS Tags are not standalone GPS trackers, do not include their own SIM or cellular connection, and do not work without a compatible paired phone.

Personal Alarms (Alarm Classic, Alarm Metal)

Personal Alarms are standalone, locally audible safety alarms. They do not connect to the app, do not require Bluetooth or a phone, and do not send location, notifications or any digital alert.

Safety Kits

Starter, Family and Ultimate Safety Kits combine the connected Tag option and the standalone Alarm option according to the contents shown on the relevant product page. Each item in a kit behaves as described above.

8. Safety limitations and emergency disclaimer

I’M SAFE is a personal-safety support tool. It does not guarantee prevention of harm, uninterrupted operation, successful delivery of every alert, or a particular emergency outcome. It is not a replacement for police, ambulance, fire, medical care or other official emergency services. In an immediate emergency, please contact the appropriate local emergency service directly, including 112 in India where applicable.

The service depends on factors including:

  • Your phone being powered on and functional.
  • Mobile network or internet connectivity.
  • Enabled location services and Bluetooth where required.
  • Notification permissions and background activity settings.
  • Operating-system restrictions and device compatibility.
  • Hardware battery levels on any connected accessory.
  • Availability of our servers and third-party providers.
  • Accurate and current trusted-contact details supplied by you.

9. Product information, pricing and availability

We take care to describe our products accurately, but small variations in colour, packaging or product photography may occur. Product specifications, availability and pricing may change without notice. Where a pricing or listing error is identified before dispatch, we may cancel the affected order and refund any amount paid.

All prices for the Indian website are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise, and are inclusive of applicable taxes shown at checkout.

10. Orders and payment

  • Website orders are processed through our live ecommerce and checkout system.
  • Payment is handled by third-party checkout and payment providers made available at checkout. I'M SAFE does not receive or store complete payment-card credentials.
  • Your order is an offer to purchase and is subject to payment confirmation, stock availability and our acceptance.
  • We may cancel an order and refund any amount paid where we cannot fulfil it, including for stock, pricing, address or fraud-risk reasons.
  • Order confirmation, dispatch and delivery updates are sent to the contact details you provide at checkout.

11. Shipping, taxes and international delivery

Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Actual delivery time depends on the courier, your address and factors outside our reasonable control such as weather, holidays and customs clearance.

For international orders, you may be responsible for import duty, customs charges, GST/VAT or other local taxes imposed by the destination country. Any such charges are payable by you and are additional to the amount charged at checkout.

12. Returns, refunds and warranty

We do not offer change-of-mind returns. Reports of manufacturing defects are handled under our published Returns & Refunds and Warranty policies, which set out reporting timelines, evidence required and the applicable warranty period. Those policies are the authoritative source; nothing in these Terms extends, shortens or contradicts them.

13. User responsibilities and prohibited use

When using the website, app or products you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable law.
  • Trigger SOS or other safety features falsely, abusively or to harass others.
  • Use the service to track, monitor or record any person unlawfully or without appropriate consent.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, our systems or another user's account.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, defamatory or otherwise objectionable.

14. User content and communications

Where you submit information through the app or website - for example trusted-contact details, support enquiries, feedback or safety-related messages - you confirm that you have the right to share that information and grant us a limited licence to use it for the purpose of providing and improving the service.

We distinguish between (i) transactional and service communications required to operate your account, orders and support, (ii) safety notifications generated by the app when you or your setup activate a feature, (iii) order and support messages, and (iv) optional marketing communications. Optional marketing is subject to your consent and the opt-out mechanisms provided in the relevant channel. Providing your contact details does not by itself grant unlimited consent to marketing calls, SMS or email.

15. Intellectual property

The I’M SAFE name, logo, app, website, product designs, content and related materials are owned by or licensed to the Company and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the service for its intended personal purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, resell or create derivative works of our materials without our prior written permission, except as expressly permitted by law.

16. Third-party services and links

Operating the service relies on third-party providers, which may include, in general terms:

  • Mobile app stores through which the app is distributed.
  • Ecommerce and checkout platforms.
  • Payment providers made available at checkout.
  • Cloud hosting, database and storage providers.
  • Analytics, attribution and advertising providers.
  • Email, messaging and customer-support providers.
  • Map, location and push-notification services.
  • Websites and services linked from our content.

We do not control third-party providers or linked websites and are not responsible for their uptime, terms or privacy practices. Their terms and privacy notices apply to your use of their services.

17. Service availability, updates and changes

We work to keep the website and app available, but access may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, upgrades or reasons outside our reasonable control. We may add, change or discontinue features, content, product listings or app versions. Where a change materially affects paid products or orders already accepted, we will honour the arrangements existing at the time of your order.

18. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the service where you breach these Terms, where required by law, or where continued access presents a security or safety risk. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting support. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

19. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website, app and content are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company’s aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the service or purchase of a product is limited to the amount you paid to us for the relevant product or, where no amount was paid, to a nominal sum. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under Indian consumer-protection law.

20. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold I’M SAFE, its officers, employees and authorised partners harmless from claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your infringement of any third-party right, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

21. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them or the use of the service are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have jurisdiction over such disputes.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, technology or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Your continued use of the website, app or products after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
